So i have been rowing for 5 years now and i really enjoy it! At first it was really hard and as you probably know if your a rower because its a weird sport to get into! Totally unnatural to anything id normally do! Nevertheless i decided to take it up because as a child growing up i have always been stand out taller than everyone else my age and i had been told by one of my mums friends (who rowed on the Thames) that i would be good at it! I never really thought anything of it until she died of cancer and that really sparked me to do it because i wanted to make her proud! I don't personally remember her that well but I have been told by so many people that i loved her and really looked up to her and because of this i felt obliged ! And I am SO glad i did!!!
Me and the girls trailing last year and winning! YAYYY |
After i started up i joined a learn to row course which was great fun and i loved every minute of it! My coach may have been a pain in the arse but that didn't stop me loving the whole damn thaannnggg! We trained twice a week then and since then we go up a training session a year.
I'm currently doing 5 training sessions a week and most people say its madness and i must have no social life but i think that its actually really social there and some of my best friends go there so i genuinely love it !
Rowing with the girls again ages ago back when we were hunches :) hahaha |
I'm now getting ready for a race at dorney lake tomorrow and i'm sosososososo exited! The girls i'm doing a quad with are amazing so i am confident about how its going to feel tomorrow!
Ill update you soon on how it went and ill take some pictures for you to see :)
thanks for reading and i hope you enjoyed it! byeeeeeee
